Back to school: Part 2?

My goodness me! Everyone was looking at the direction of whoever was probably delivering an important message whereas I'm just looking straight at whoever took this shot.
My kuailan face just shows that I don't pay attention to anything!

This picture was taken on the first week on orientation back in January. I found it on Facebook and stole it.


So I RE-started school today. I didn't feel as nervous as I did back in January but I sure did feel the excitement as I tossed and tossed on the bed (thinking about school) until I managed to finally doze off at 4am and woke up exactly 2 hours later for the "first day" of school. The second batch of students joined us on this very day and they wore the same expressions as I did on my first day of school here. So it was my duty to make them feel welcomed (wahseh I feel like a senior).


I still don't get it. Why are we merged with the second batch of students in the same classes? Doesn't that just defeat the main purpose for the "January intakes". I take 5 subjects and most of them had been reshuffled. The timetable I mean. I have 3 new teachers and 3 "blocks" of new classmates. Damn it, I loved my English classmates the most because ALL of us could manage to communicate well with each other, as well as with the teacher. So that just means that...I have to get crazy and make new friends again!

Oh! oh! First thing in the morning, after the singing of the national anthem, school song, welcoming speech by the principal and so forth, I stood on the stage! Like whoah. I mean, 21 of us, representing our own groups respectively had to go on the stage to say the oath together with the senior councilors. Being in tutor group B2, I stood in front X_X Awesome start.  

So yesterday was day one for orientation with the newcomers! It was like Déjà vu. Man, we had to wear name tags at all time during the ice breaking games. I thought it was okay just to wear small name tags at the corner of our shirts. But these name tags were A4 size papers with our names drawn and coloured on them. Furthermore, these papers were attached to raffia strings so that you could hang it around your neck. fol.


Anyway, about the games. OH the games...introductions by the MPs and the PRS. Then we were given a form to fill in with the correct MP and PRS names. There were like 30 of them?! THEN we had to go around school to find them to get their signatures to verify them. Not fun one =( I was exhausted, mad, sweaty, irritated...because the school THAT HUGE and my shoes were giving me blisters. Before that, we were given a tour around the school (as if we don't know the school already). Well, that was mostly for the newcomers but we had to follow as well.


Mann, it would have been better if I took my camera to school and document everything.
Actually that doesn't matter because I saw a lot of seniors holding big-ass DSLRs already doing that. I just don't know where to get the pictures from. Facebook again?

The Little Sombreros

First of all, let me show you my bare face, pre-make up time....

Why do I still look so shit with eyeliner?! But Sab looks pretty.
It's like I just painted my whole eyelids black T_T Bad skills, bad skills...

Anyway, I just wanted to show you the difference. (no pun intended...)




The AFC's 9th Anniversary Gala Night was held on Sunday, 20th February 2011 at Manggis Mall Ballroom. A group of Acts 29-ers did a various of performances on that glamorous night. And guess what? I was in one of the performances and we were called "The Little Sombreros".

I don't even know what it means...
So it's time to google!

#1 Sombrero - a loanword from Spanish, typically refers to a type of hat originating in Mexico.
#2 Sombrero - one of the islands of Saint Christopher-Nevis

So basically, we are "The Mexican hats stranded on some kind of island". YAY US!

We even practised at the balcony of the ballroom in the midst of the dinner. It was fun to be at the balcony so high up in the dark sky and there were constant lightning strikes.

The Coffee Bean

I went out with my friends from PTEM yesterday for the very first time - The "Balls" group.

I'm to excited for you to meet them! In this blog I mean.

I stressed out on what I should wear to meet them okay! T_T I think that first impression is extremely important. That was how nervous and excited I felt towards this meeting. Like any other typical girly-girl, I tried on almost everything I had and looked at the full length mirror in my room and then slowly eliminating the clothes one by one on the bed. In the end I just settled with a tank-top, baggy pants and denim sneakers.

So we hung out at Gadong area, particularly at Coffee Bean - Brunei's very own "Starbucks".
And oh my, I haven't been to Coffee Bean ever since I was little but the drinks still give me a slightly queasy feeling and a major migraine. Oh no! I think I might be allergic to Coffee Bean.

Damn, I should have worn eyeliner with Syaz! I was having a bad eyelid day. You know, just like when you have your bad hair days. I can have bad eyelids days too T_T

And I wonder why people can't seem to see the odd colour on my eyeballs. They thought my eye colour was natural and were not contacts! You can now all buy FreshLook contact lenses in the colour "Green" for natural eyes =D Yea, just "Green"... I wish they had a fancy name for these contacts; like Alluring Green, or Jade Green, or Emerald.
